Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 31, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Traction by Tightrope Studio ("Traction," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website at https://tractionbytightropestudio.com and the Traction application (collectively, the "Service").

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information we receive from connected third-party platforms when you choose to connect them, and information collected automatically when you use the Service.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), and authentication identifiers from sign-in providers you choose to use.

Business profile and brand information

We collect information you provide about your business, including business name, location, services, audience, brand voice, positioning, logos, colors, and other brand kit details you choose to add.

Content, captions, campaigns, and media you create

We store content you create or upload through Traction, including posts, captions, campaign plans, drafts, scripts, images, video concepts, and other media. This content belongs to you.

Leads, customer records, and follow-up activity

You may choose to enter information about leads, customers, prospects, deals, pipeline stages, revenue, and follow-up activity. We store this information so you can manage it inside Traction. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload this information and for complying with applicable privacy laws.

Connected platform data from integrations

When you choose to connect third-party platforms — including LinkedIn, Meta/Facebook, Instagram, Google, Stripe, and email or newsletter tools — we receive information from those platforms as authorized by you through their OAuth or connection flows. We use this information only to provide Traction's connection, planning, publishing, analytics, billing, and account-management features.

How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Personalize recommendations from Orbit, our AI assistant
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

How we use Meta/Facebook/Instagram data

When you connect a Meta, Facebook, or Instagram account, Traction may receive information authorized through Meta's OAuth flow, such as your profile/account identifier, connected Facebook Pages, Page names, Page IDs, Instagram Business account connection status, and permissions needed to help you manage content workflows. We use this information only to provide Traction's connection, planning, publishing, analytics, and account-management features. We do not sell Meta user data.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (such as hosting, database, payment processing, and email delivery providers), with connected platforms at your direction, or when required by law.

Data storage and security

We store data with reputable cloud infrastructure providers and apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

OAuth tokens and connected accounts

We store OAuth tokens for the platforms you connect so that Traction can perform the actions you authorize. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest. You can disconnect any connected platform at any time from Settings → Connections, which revokes Traction's ongoing access.

User choices and account deletion

You can update your account information at any time from your account settings. You can disconnect connected platforms, delete content you have created, and request deletion of your account.

How to request deletion of your data

To request deletion of your account data or connected platform data, contact casey@tightropestudio.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and platform requirements. See our Data Deletion Instructions for full details.
